About

Welcome to on every Mac, site dedicated not only to new Mac users but also to seasoned ones who want to either share their knowledge of using Mac apps, or discover unknown features of apps they use every day.

My idea for this came first when I was using a long-time favourite and one of the most featured apps on this site, TextEdit. I believe it was the moment I was again using it for another rather complex text manipulation (like preparing HTML data to be imported into a spreadsheet), when I found out that I can make a column selection while holding alt.

And with years of use of the Mac apps I encountered many similar feelings, that I would love other people to know that with every Mac you will get not just well-performing hardware and a secure, optimised operating system, but a great bunch of built-in or easily downloadable applications and utilities which often have features you could find in more complex, expensive apps from the third parties.

So we would like to show them all and comment on our usage of the built-in apps (or those available from Apple for free download, such MS Office’s alternative of Pages, Keynote and Numbers), with focus on features which would require purchasing third-party apps, often quite expensive ones.

Finally – all the credit for images and text (except comments) goes to Apple.
